The Engine Room
Each child has a turn working with the teacher in the Engine Room.
Here we are working on learning to write. The children use their yellow butterfly chart to help them learn words, letters and sounds.

"Must Do" Activities
Meanwhile the children move between 6 or 7 other activities. This cut up sentence is a "must do" activity.
Writing at the back table is a "can do". The children could use pencils or gel pens to write their friends' names.

The children made a caption book to read.
They must also reread their familiar book. This is the book they read with Mrs Fuller on Friday in the engine room.
Crunch and Sip
The children can decide when they will have their Crunch and Sip. Only 5 people at a time and they must sit quietly.
At the end of the session we talk about what we learnt.
